Honkaku Rice Shochu
Matsuyoi

While Rice Shochu is typically made with rice and Rice Koji, Matsuyoi is a luxury rice spirit made only with Rice Koji, resulting in a mellow rice aroma and deep richness.

Although most Shochu has an ABV of 25%, our chief distillers found after extensive testing that Matsuyoi best expresses its inherent flavors at a level of 28%.

A balance of dryness and rich rice flavor gives Matsuyoi a distinct versatility, making it suitable to be paired with anything from delicately seasoned appetizers to heavily seasoned main dishes. It has no off-flavor and, its subtle rice sweetness makes it particularly accessible to those who are new to Shochu or are seeking a milder taste.
